Police on Wednesday arrested a Bangkok taxi driver for allegedly stealing a smart phone from two Chinese tourists. Mr Niwat was initially charged with theft and taken to Phlapphla Chai 1 police station. But there was a communication problem and Ms Jaow used a GPS navigation app in her phone and handed it to Mr Niwat to get to the destination. Ms Jaow said she tried to ask Mr Niwat to return her phone but to no avail. Mr Niwat allegedly confessed he had taken the tourist’s phone.
